Plot

Plot[]

In the First Land, Thunderfang sensed that the final two Prismatic Blades were now in Drix's hands. He insulted the Source Dragons, accusing them of being cosmic frauds who had thwarted his ascension to Source Dragon for countless ages. However, he was resolute in his belief that his time to rise was imminent.

Meanwhile, in the World Forest, Arin delivered the news of his parents' deaths to the ninja, much to their distress. When Lloyd asked about the circumstances of their demise, Arin pointed out that it was Wu's actions that had triggered the Merge. Although Lloyd attempted to defend Wu, his words only served to deepen Arin's anguish. Arin warned that the release of Thunderfang by the Forbidden Five posed a grave threat to the entire world, and was in desperate need of Ras in hopes of getting his parents back. He proposed a collaboration with the ninja, who quickly united around him, eager to lend their support. However, as they prepared to confront Drix, Zane pointed out the impracticality of pursuing him, given his remarkable speed. This led to a nostalgic exchange between Kai and Nya, recalling a past incident where Kai had been chased by clamp-beetles due to a dare from Jay. The mention of Kai's frantic escape through the Monastery gave Lloyd an idea, suggesting a potential strategy to gain an advantage over Drix.

In the City of Temples, Roby's time was running out, causing great concern for Wyldfyre. Despite her hopes for a different outcome, the Medical Bot had already confirmed that every resource in the library had been thoroughly examined, even re-reading the texts. Just then, another Messenger Dragon arrived to check on Hermes. Wyldfyre was initially horrified to see the dragon breathing fire on Hermes, but soon realized that the flames were actually healing him, reversing the effects of Kur's decay. This gave Wyldfyre an idea that a similar method could save Roby.

At the hangar bay, Mr. Frohicky finished polishing the floors and eagerly anticipated having some Zip Flies. However, just as he attempted to open the box, the ninja arrived, creating chaos and further dirtying the hangar bay. As the ninja rushed in, they began to slip on the freshly waxed floor. Sora inquired about the duration of Lloyd's plan, to which Zane assured her that the setup would only take a few minutes, recalling their previous, unplanned attempt during the Battle of the Second Monastery. Sora expressed that a few minutes was all she needed to create some gliders that would level the playing field against Drix and the Dragonians. As the ninja left, Mr. Frohicky resigned himself to the fact that personal rewards were something he was never into and went back to work, only to slip.

Returning to the monastery, Arin feels a mix of nostalgia and sadness as he sits on his parents' old swing set, remembering the happier moments of his childhood. Sora comes to gather parts and shows relief at seeing Arin back. Arin opens up about feeling out of place in the monastery after learning Wu caused the Merge. They talk about past misunderstandings, with Arin recognizing that he overreacted to Sora's efforts to boost his confidence in being a ninja back at the Ritual of the Blood Moon. He confesses that he has been struggling with the realization that he isn't as skilled as he had hoped, despite his lifelong dream. Sora reassures Arin of his value, stressing that he is a good ninja and is making progress. Arin attributes much of this to Ras, who has helped him face his emotions. Arin shares that he has battled with anger and hate, which he thinks can fuel his strength. However, Sora disagrees, suggesting that Arin's real strengths are in his kindness, generosity, and hope, which have had a positive effect on others, including Sora herself. As Arin ponders this, Nya arrives, urging them to hurry since Lloyd and the others are making progress.

In the dragon stables, Lloyd, Zane, and P.I.X.A.L. are finalizing a machine that will generate sufficient power for the portal gate, allowing their vehicles to pass through. This task mirrors the time Lloyd channelled Source Dragon energy to activate the portal during the Battle of the Second Monastery, an experience Lloyd would prefer not to relive. As the machine powers up, it energizes the portal gate, allowing the ninja to get to the First Land.

In the City of Temples, Wyldfyre was determined to heal Roby using Heat. The Medical Bot was worried about her insufficient research and lack of medical credentials. Undeterred, Wyldfyre stated that reckless decisions were her forte. When the Bot pointed out that there were no established methods to save Roby, she insisted on pursuing her unconventional approach, placing her hands on him in an attempt to bring about a cure.

The ninja reached Storm Mountain and quickly noticed the Winds of Chaos. Zane observed that Lloyd's strategy worked since Drix had not yet arrived. Frak, filled with excitement about the adventure, turned to Arin, who, reflecting on his past experiences, remarked that dreams were more complex than he had anticipated. Frak blamed himself for Arin's high hopes regarding Ras' teachings, but Arin defended himself, asserting that he had become a stronger ninja. Frak questioned Arin's belief that Ras could offer him more than Lloyd, suggesting that Arin might not understand what it truly meant to be a ninja. At that moment, Drix and the Dragonians arrived.

Wyldfyre curing Roby's decay

Roby had fully recovered from Kur's decay as Wyldfyre checked on him, inquiring about his health. Sensing urgency in her tone, Roby confirmed he was healed. Roby urged her to go help the ninja, emphasizing that they would be in danger without their strongest member. Wyldfyre took the Mech Storm Rider and used the Monastery of Gates to reach the First Land.

As Drix approaches Thunderfang's prison, the ninja confronted him, shocking Drix. He orders the Dragonian Trackers to attack, but the ninja fights back. Meanwhile, Arin and Sora split up to chase the Dragonian Warriors. Two attackers begin to attack Sora's jet, and Lloyd steps in and fire blasts to knock them off. Kai and Nya join the battle, with Kai showcasing his Dragon Spinjitzu and commenting to Lloyd on its impressive display. Arin notices two Dragonians with Ras and rushes to save him. Drix tries to escape but is intercepted by Lloyd. Unfazed, Drix attempts to flee again, only to be blocked by Riyu, Zane, and P.I.X.A.L., who had anticipated his move. He spits out of the insect to send the Forbidden Five for help.

Rox confronts Lloyd for the Prismatic Blade, but he dismisses her. The Forbidden Five attack, with Zarkt grabbing Kai and Kur kicking Zane, while the Dragonians lift P.I.X.A.L.'s car. Nya intervenes to help Kai by kicking Zarkt. Sora tries to distract a Dragonian with her jet but is challenged by Nokt, who damages her jet. Arin, surrounded, is saved by Frak, who reminds him how he once saved Arin from bullies when they first met. As Sora is pursued by Nokt, Drix approaches with a captive Ras, whom Nokt decides to take himself, sidelining Drix. While Lloyd battles Rox, Rox attempts to get Nokt to focus on their mission, but Nokt ignores her. Nokt releases Ras from his bindings and returns his hammer, wanting a fair fight. Ras regrets for freeing Nokt during the Blood Moon Ritual. As they battled, Zane takes the opportunity to attack two Dragonians with ice, forcing Drix to dodge but leaving him vulnerable to Riyu's strike, resulting in the loss of the Returning Blade. Rox tries to catch the blade, but Arin used his Grapple Gun to seize it first. Lloyd counters Rox with Rising Dragon, but Rox disarms him. The ninja and the Forbidden Five clash over the blue Prismatic Blade until it ultimately lands in Arin's hands. Lloyd urges Arin to escape with the blades, but Arin's attention is drawn to Ras, who is in danger from Nokt. As Nokt gains the upper hand and defeats Ras, Arin rushes to his aid, only to be confronted by Nokt. In a sudden turn, Rox kicks Arin from behind, leaving him vulnerable as Nokt unleashes Shatterspin, sending Arin hurtling into the Winds of Chaos. With the blades now in their possession, the Forbidden Five make their way to Thunderfang's prison, pursued by the ninja. However, the ninja struggle against the fierce winds that destroy their gliders. Nokt shatters rocks that are swept into the tornado. Yet, Sora manages to harness her elemental powers to merge Zane with her jet and P.I.X.A.L.'s car.

Thunderfang betrays the Forbidden Five

Thunderfang betrays the Forbidden Five

The Forbidden Five reached Thunderfang's prison, using the two Prismatic Blades to sever the final chains that bound him. Rox demanded the powers Thunderfang had promised, but Thunderfang mocked them, claiming their trust made them more foolish than he had thought. Horrified, the Forbidden Five realized their mistake too late as Thunderfang consumed their souls, snuffing out their lives. As their lifeless bodies fell to the ground, Thunderfang let out a roar, beginning his ascent from captivity.
