The Ritual of Unrooting is a ritual performed by the Green Ninja in the Whispering Wood to maintain the forest's power.

History

Whenever the current Elemental Master of Life transitions out of childhood and begins their teenage years, they hear the call of the Whispering Wood. Upon completing the Ritual of Unrooting, the Whispering Wood and its inhabitants' life force is maintained.

In the current cycle, Lloyd became the Elemental Master of Life. But due to him artificially aging past the right age due to the Tomorrow's Tea that defeated the Grundle, he never heard the call.

Several years later, upon him and Arin getting stranded in the Whispering Wood by Lord Ras, they were joined up by Euphrasia and later Zane as they learnt about what Lloyd needed to do to save the Whispering Wood.
