Conduits

History[]

At an unknown point, the First Spinjitzu Master would meet the Source Dragons and received most of his Elemental Powers from them as well as becoming a conduit for all seven of them.

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

Lloyd and Zane discovered the Source Dragon of Energy contained within the glass core. The Energy Source Dragon granted Lloyd a portion of his dragon energy so he can activate the portal gate at the Monastery of Imperium, allowing the remaining dragons to make their escape into the Monastery of Spinjitzu. This turned Lloyd into a conduit for him. Once he activated the portal gate, Lloyd passed out and woke up several days later.

After the Liberation of Imperium, Sora remembered Lloyd is a Conduit and urged him to use his Conduit power to put an end to the MergeQuake Storm through the Dragon Cores. Remembering Master Wu's lesson to find the calm within himself, Lloyd powers up and levitates in the air, causing the three Dragon Cores to spin around him and release a shockwave that sweeps across the world, closing the giant rift and saving the world as he collapsed.

Dragons Rising, Season 2[]

While meditating in the courtyard, Lloyd calls Spirit Dragons, who allow him to communicate with the Source Dragons.

Lloyd begins to have various visions of the future. When sharing this with Rontu, Lloyd discovers his visions are similar to Source Dragons as they experience time differently than mortals. Rontu informed that Lloyd's fragmented visions are signs of what came before and things that might come in the future.

Dragons Rising, Season 3[]

During his battle with the ninja, Thunderfang sensed a Source Dragon Conduit among them, piquing his curiosity. He confronted Lloyd, demanding to know which form of Source Dragon energy he was channeling—Motion or Strength—and noted the irony if Lloyd possessed the source of Life. Eager to claim the Source Dragon energy within Lloyd, Thunderfang consumed his soul to absorb Energy.

While imprisoned in the Community of Lee, Lloyd gets summoned by the Source Dragon of Energy to the Council of Sources sneakily behind the other Source Dragons where he learned of Thunderfang's return and a way for mortals to summon the Arc Dragon of Focus, to which there would be consequences if it was without the Council's approval. Thanks to Arin, Lloyd learned Thunderfang was in the Spectral Lands and the ninja awaken the Arc Dragon of Focus to defeat the Shatter Dragon of Chaos once and for all. However, this caused a fallout among the Source Dragons, where Life, Strength, and Focus withdrew, causing chaos for the Elemental Masters.

Abilities[]

• Enhanced Elemental Powers - As conduits are empowered by Source Dragon energy, their Elemental Powers are heavily enhanced, as Lloyd used his enhanced Energy to power a portal gate.
• Draco-Ergokinesis - Conduits can manipulate the dragon energy of both their respective Source Dragons and other Source Dragons such as the energy in the Dragon Cores to stabilized the Merged Realms and stop the MergeQuakes.
  • Visions - Conduits can receive precognitive visions as a result of their exposure to Source Dragon energy.
  • Pylikinesis - Conduits can also use dragon energy to manipulate and activate portal gates.
  • Psychic Link - Conduits appear to have a psychic connection with the Source Dragon they got their dragon energy from.
  • Draco-Ergokinetic Flight/Levitation - Conduits are seen being able to fly and levitate above the ground using dragon energy.
  • Source Dragon Energy Detection - Conduits with enough training can master the skill of perceiving the locations and what the Source Dragon energy reservoirs are.^[5]

Weaknesses[]

• Fatigue - If conduits tap into too much power, they risk passing out.
• Uncontrollable Visions - Conduits have no control over when they experience visions.
• Inaccurate visions - Conduit visions aren't always 100% accurate, as shown in Lloyd's vision of the Ritual of the Blood Moon where Ras pushed Euphrasia into the Nether-Space instead of Kai like what actually happened.

• According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt:
  • "Lloyd isn't the only conduit that ever existed, but not everyone can just be a conduit.^[7]
  • Source Dragons can have multiple conduits.^[8]
• Ras’ communication with his master shares some similarities to Lloyd's communication with the Source Dragons, since both their eyes glow yellow and they float in the air.
• Lloyd as the Golden Ninja is more powerful than him as a conduit.^[9]
  • When asked if Lloyd as a Conduit was stronger than his Oni form, Chris "Doc" Wyatt stated, "Depends".^[10]
• It is not necessary for a Conduit to receive Source Dragon energy from the Source Dragon where their element is derived from, as the element of Energy is derived from the Source Dragon of Life, while the Source Dragon of Energy gave Lloyd a spark to become a Conduit.
• A Conduit's connection to a Source Dragon is not similar to that of Arc Dragons.^[11]
• When asked if the First Spinjitzu Master was a Conduit, Chris "Doc" Wyatt stated, "In a way yes; but also so much more than that".^[12]
• While Conduits refer to those who received energy from a specific Source Dragon, other Elemental Masters can be seen as conduits for other dragons. This is once mentioned by Lloyd, who compared his role as a conduit for the Source Dragon of Energy to his previous experience of channeling energy from the Matriarch of the Mountain Dragons.^[13] Additionally, the Forbidden Five can (in a way) be considered Conduits for Thunderfang by channeling Chaos.
• When asked if being a conduit would make Lloyd more perceivable to Source Dragon energy reservoirs, Chris "Doc" Wyatt replied that with training, he could master such a skill.^[5]
