Energy is a form of dragon energy and one of the seven Sources, personified by the Source Dragon of Energy. It is associated with the color yellow.

Ergokinesis/Dynakinesis - The user is able to manipulate and generate energy.
- Energy Amplification - The user can enhance the energy of the objects and people as seen when it was used to turn Lloyd into a Source Dragon Conduit.
- Photogenesis - The user is able to generate light.
- Ergokinetic Aura - The user can create an energy aura around themselves.
- Ergokinetic Flight - The user is able to fly using energy as shown with Lloyd.
- Ergokinetic Vortex Creation - The user can project energy as a spiraling vortex.
Precognition - The user is capable of viewing and perceiving potential futures.
Dragon Icon Creation - As it is a form of dragon energy, the user can create a Source Dragon Icon.

Elemental Power Creation/Bestowal - The user can create and grant others Elemental Powers sourced from Energy.
- Potentikinesis Bestowal - When used and combined with other forms of Source Dragon energy, Energy can bestow the Elemental Essence of Golden Power to other beings.
- Electrokinesis Bestowal - Energy can bestow the Elemental Power of Lightning to other beings.
- Calokinesis Bestowal - Energy can bestow the Elemental Power of Heat to other beings.

Dimensional Rift Creation - As seen with the Dragon Cores, which is made from Energy and the other sources, users can tear rifts in the fabric of reality, exposing the Ethereal Divide.
- Vacuum Effect - Such rifts are identical to MergeQuakes and have a vacuum effect that sucks nearby objects or people in.

Before revealing its Source, Glen Lakin suggested that Amber comes from either Life or Energy, with Life being a possibility since the dragon energy that created Amber came from a tree.^[9]
When revealing the Elemental Powers coming from the source of Energy, Glen Lakin used these poetic descriptions:
- Lightning - An electrical discharge between two points, sometimes a display of power between heaven and earth itself.^[5]
- Heat - An intensity of temperature, a shift in molecules that can change their very state.^[6]
- Light - More than a beacon in the dark, the control of what is seen and unseen.^[7]
- Propulsion - The blast that rockets an object forward - make way!^[8]
The 4 currently known elements derived from the Energy source can be connected to 4 types of kinetic energy, Lightning aligning with electrical energy, Heat aligning with thermal energy, Light aligning with radiant energy, and Propulsion aligning with mechanical energy.
