Mortal avatars

Overview

Mortal avatars are dragons that are linked to the Source Dragons by being able to channel and interact with their cosmic nature,[3] acting as mortal bodies in place of the Source Dragons themselves in the mortal world and incarnations of their masters' wills.[4]

History

History[]

At some point, the mortal avatars descended from Firstbourne,[5] born to be avatars to the Source Dragons in the mortal world[6] by being able to channel their cosmic nature,[3] allowing them to be selected as avatars to the Source Dragons so they wouldn't have to manifest in their own physical forms.[7] Among them, the Arc Dragon of Focus, avatar of the Source Dragon of Focus, became the champion of the Source Dragons[8] while the Arc Dragon of Life, avatar of the Source Dragon of Life, became the guardian of the Whispering Wood.[9]

Thunderfang, the Shatter Dragon of Chaos, fell into a fit of rage after being rejected by the Source Dragons and chose to satisfy his thirst for revenge by attacking the City of Temples. Faced with this threat, the Source Dragons sent the Arc Dragon of Focus to confront him and protect their acolytes from the city's total destruction. The confrontation culminated with Thunderfang being imprisoned in Storm Mountain, while the Arc Dragon of Focus went into a deep slumber in the Caves of Bells.

Millennia later, after the spectral invasions, the ninja awakened the Focus Arc Dragon through the Trials of Focus, allowing it to face Thunderfang once more and defeat him definitively.

After the defeat of the Shatter Dragon, Lloyd and Arin ended up in the Whispering Wood, where they met another mortal avatar: the Arc Dragon of Life, avatar of the Source Dragon of Life. The Arc Dragon explained to Lloyd that because of his absence and the Ritual of Unrooting was not performed, the Whispering Wood started to weaken. After this conversation, Lloyd entered the Temple of the Green Ninja to perform the Ritual of Unrooting and maintain the forest's powers. During this, Elemental Monsters attacked the Arc Dragon of Life, causing the dragon and the rest of the Whispering Wood to decay. Even after Lloyd came back with his Draconus Form and defeated the monsters, the forest stayed the same because of Beatrix's usage of the Weapon of Desolation. After Arin deactivated the weapon in Imperium, the Arc Dragon of Life released a wave of energy that revitalized the realm. After the Loyalist assault, Lloyd and Zane returned to the Whispering Wood to explain Lloyd's expanded duties to Arc Dragon of Life, which the Arc Dragon recognized.
