Overview
The healing elixir is a golden-yellow colored fluid found underneath the Well of the Lost in the Spectral Lands, which allows the departed souls to pass into the afterlife after drinking it. It also has healing properties for the living.[1] It was used by Arin to heal Ras' injuries after the Tournament of the Sources, then later on to defeat Thunderfang after he was freed by the Forbidden Five. When Thunderfang reemerged in the Spectral Lands after dying, the souls captured by the Five's magical flutes were infused into the elixir, linking it to the Source-Henge as part of his scheme to become a Source Dragon. Following Thunderfang's defeat, the healing elixir and well were destroyed, restoring the Hollow Ones' souls.

Being made from soul energy, the elixir of the Well of Lost allows deceased individuals in the Spectral Lands to move onto the afterlife.[1] As the name suggests, it has also the ability to heal wounds and injuries of living individuals.
History
History[]
The Spectral Lands[]
As Arin dragged a dying Ras closer to the Spectral Lands, Ras explained that there were rumors of a healing elixir in said lands after the Merge, and that it was located in a well on the village hilltop. After being helped by Morro in fending off the Soul Suckers, Arin successfully made it to the well, where Morro informed him of the elixir's ability to help souls.
Arin then collected some of it in his bottle, which was briefly dropped when he made it back to the entrance of the Spectral Lands. Ras attempted to crawl towards it to heal himself, only to have his soul nearly absorbed by the Soul Suckers pursuing Morro and Arin. The elixir was used after the defeat of the suckers to restore Ras' soul.
The Shatter Dragon[]
After viewing numerous souls Thunderfang had previously taken by looking through the Prismatic Steel of the Returning Blade, Arin recalled what Morro had said about the elixir in regard to what it can do for souls. This gave him the idea to throw it at the Chaos Dragon, which Ras objected to due to his belief that Arin did not possess enough anger to harness the power to successfully hit Thunderfang in the conditions of the battle. However, using the memories of his former friends and loved ones, Arin was able hurl the elixir at the dragon, which freed the trapped souls and ultimately killed him.
However, this sent Thunderfang to the Spectral Lands, where he absorbed Morro and the Soul Suckers to start regaining his powers.
Casket of Bones[]
Drix arrived back from the Administration with the stolen souls he collected and blew them into the Well, where they blended with the healing elixir, allowing the Source-Henge to start absorbing its energy.
Under the Light of a Mechanical Moon[]
Rox returns to the Well, where she adds the stolen souls she gathered into the healing elixir. After Zarkt's invasion of the Land of Lee, he infused the souls into the Well, blending them with the elixir to enhance its power.
The Vault of Focus[]
Nokt arrived at the Well with the souls he still has and mixes the stolen souls with the healing elixir. Thunderfang reprimands him for failing to collect most of the souls in Imperium but Rox came back with more to mix with the healing elixir, allowing the Shatter Dragon's plan to be active, with the Well bursting with energy.
For Whom the Bell Tolls[]
As Lloyd and Arin went to the Spectral Lands, the well's hill and hole is seen with Thunderfang as he uses the enhanced healing elixir to evolve into a Source Drago n.
When Doves Cry[]
The enhanced healing elixir continues to empower Thunderfang as Lloyd and Arin fought the Forbidden Five and Spectral Dragonians. Lloyd managed to punch a hole to get into the cavern where the two saw the Source-Henge being powered by the enhanced healing elixir.
Chaos Reigns[]
After finding a way to reactivate the Unbidden Storm, the two channel their focus by focusing on soul energy and touching the Source-Henge, which allowed the Arc Dragon of Focus to be summoned and defeat Thunderfang.
After Thunderfang destroyed the cliff that had the enhanced healing elixir, he released a surge of soul energy that returned the souls to the Hollow Ones and made him, the Spectral Dragonians, and the Forbidden Five disappear.
