Draconus Form,[1][2] also referred to as Dragon Form[3] and as True Form,[4][2] is a powerful ability that represents Lloyd's unique True Potential and that can be shared with and accessed by other Elemental Masters through their connection to him.

History

The Heartbeat of all the Realms[]

After the Ritual of Unrooting, Lloyd unlocked his Draconus Form and arrived at the tree house hideout, fighting the Elemental Monsters that were attacking the Arc Dragon of Life, Euphrasia, Zane and Arin, surprising them. After defeating the Elemental Monsters, Lloyd returned back to normal.

Birthright[]

Lloyd arrived in the City of Imperium with his Draconus Form, only to return to normal, much to Beatrix's surprise. Then, Lloyd returned back to his Draconus Form and started to fight against Beatrix. As the fight continued, Lloyd struggled. However, he blasted a wave of Life, allowing Zane, Jay, Kai and Nya to access the Draconus Form. As the ninja fought against the Elemental Monsters and Loyalists, Arin secured the Weapon of Desolation and sucked the creatures back to it with the help of Cole. After Beatrix's defeat, ninja captured the remaining Loyalists with the help of their Draconus Form.

After the Loyalist assault, Cole also unlocked the Draconus Form.

Abilities

  • Humanoid Dragon Physiology - Users of Draconus Form become humanoid dragons.
    • Enhanced Strength - The Draconus form grants its user enhanced strength as seen with Lloyd when he easily defeated the Elemental Monsters, sometimes with only a single blow.
    • Flight - Users of Draconus Form are able to fly due to the wings that manifested during the process.
      • Enhanced Speed - Thanks to its wings, the Draconus Form allows the user to travel at high speed, allowing them to catch their enemies off guard.
    • Enhanced Durability/Endurance - The Draconus Form grants the user extremely great durability as shown when Lloyd survived numerous blows and elemental attacks from several monsters all at once.
      • Stamina Enhancement - Draconus Form also greatly enhances the user’s stamina as seen when Lloyd fought Beatrix and the Elemental Monsters all at once for a long period of time without showing any signs of fatigue until he was briefly overpowered.
    • Claw Extension/Retraction - As seen with Lloyd, users of Draconus Form are able to extend or retract their claws.
    • Wing Barriers - Users of Draconus Form are able to use their wings as shields to protect themselves from attacks.

Master of Life[]

  • Power Sharing - As seen in "Birthright", a Master of Life can share the ability to tap into Draconus Form with other Elemental Masters but only when in close proxy to Lloyd.
  • Power Restoration - As seen with Lloyd, Masters of Life are able to restore the powers of Elemental Masters in Draconus Form.
  • Enhanced Elemental Powers - Masters of Life have their Elemental Power heavily enhanced while in Draconus Form.

  • They are referred as "Dragon Form" in the sets.
  • When questioned about the official name of the form, since the term was not explicitly said in the show while "Draconus Form" is from a book and "Dragon Form" was also used for the dragon forms in Crystalized, Chris "Doc" Wyatt acknowledged that the name sparked much discussion, but suggested it can be referred to as "True Form," although he prefers "Draconus Form."[2]
  • They share similarities to the Dragon Form, though the relation between the two is currently unknown.
    • However, Dragon Form could only be accessed by those who have one of the four elements of Creation or dragon blood,[5] while Draconus Form doesn't appear to have the same restriction as Water is not one of the four main elements of creation, yet Nya has no problem accessing the Draconus Form like the others.
    • When Nya, Kai, Jay, and Zane unlock theirs thanks to Lloyd, the transformation sequence is similar to that of the Dragon Form transformation scene. This is even more evident due to the backgrounds looking similar.
    • Both have the symbols of their names on their chest.
  • The Draconus Form makes the user's voice deeper, save for whenever a user grunts.
  • This ability marks the first time the dragon energy-powered face first featured with the Merge gi is seen onscreen.
  • Cole is the only one not to transform during the Loyalist assault as he used his golem form during the battle, but he receives the form off-screen.
  • They have claws in the show, which are only accessible in set form in the Season 4 Part 2 sets. However, not only are the claw pieces gold, they also have the extended claws.
