The Arc Dragon of Life is an Arc Dragon serving as the mortal avatar of the Source Dragon of Life[2] and the protector of the Whispering Wood.[1]
History

Background[]
The Arc Dragon of Life was among many dragons born to serve as the Source Dragons' avatars, being associated with the Source Dragon of Life, so they wouldn't have to manifest personally in their physical forms when they appear in the mortal world. At some point, it became the protector of the Whispering Wood.[1] Throughout its time as the wood's protector, many Green Ninja would come to perform the Ritual of Unrooting upon receiving the call of the Whispering Wood which the Arc Dragon of Life guided them through.
At some point, it learned of the existence of Lloyd and felt betrayed by him for not responding to the call of the Whispering Wood, unaware that he never received it as a result of being aged up by Tomorrow's Tea.
When the Source Dragons of Strength, Focus, and Life left the Council of Sources, the Arc Dragon of Life sensed their departure.
The Whispering Wood[]
After the Battle of the Spectral Lands, Ras sent Lloyd and Arin to the Whispering Wood, intending to steer the ninja away from his plans. As soon as Lloyd stepped into the Whispering Wood, the trees recognized his presence and began to whisper to the Arc Dragon of Life. The Arc Dragon quickly realized that Lloyd was the Green Ninja who had neglected his responsibilities as the Protector of the Whispering Wood.
After Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia rescued a group of Acona from two Elemental Monsters consisting of an Acid Monster and Earth Monster, the Acona led them to the tree house hideout where the Arc Dragon of Life was resting. Just as Lloyd was about to introduce himself, the Arc Dragon of Life interrupted him, revealing that it was already aware of his identity. The Arc Dragon expressed disappointment, chastising Lloyd for being the first Green Ninja to abandon his duties, and conveyed a deep sense of betrayal felt by those from the Whispering Wood.
The Lean of a Tree[]
Lloyd was confused regarding his role as the Protector of the Whispering Wood. Skeptical, the Arc Dragon of Life inquired whether Lloyd was indeed a Green Ninja. When Lloyd affirmed this but admitted he had never heard of the Whispering Wood, the dragon accused him of dishonesty, convinced that the ninja had felt the call of the wood but chose to ignore it. This accusation took Lloyd by surprise, especially when the Life Dragon revealed that he was not the only Green Ninja since the prophecy he was taught by had never mentioned others. The Arc Dragon explained that every previous Green Ninja had performed the Ritual of Unrooting to nurture the Whispering Wood's life. As Lloyd believed that he had already achieved his True Potential, the Arc Dragon of Life challenged him, asking if he genuinely thought he had just one True Potential, or if that was the case for anyone else. Arin urged the guardian dragon to be more understanding, pointing out that Lloyd had already defended the forest by saving the Acona from Elemental Monsters. However, the Arc Dragon dismissed this as inadequate, stating that Lloyd's inaction had contributed to the weakening of the Whispering Wood. The guardian revealed that all past Green Ninja had discovered the Whispering Wood during their transition from childhood. It dawned on Lloyd that his absence was due to Tomorrow's Tea, which had accelerated his aging and caused him to miss the crucial age for fulfilling his duties. Realizing this, the Arc Dragon apologized but warned that the fate of the Whispering Wood and its inhabitants had already been sealed since that moment.
The Arc Dragon of Life elaborated on the significance of the Ritual of Unrooting to Lloyd, highlighting that the ritual aims to purify Source Energies' pathways and sustain their connections between the realms. Although Lloyd was willing to undertake the rite, the protector dragon was doubtful about it being possible, suggesting that the ninja's age will make it unlikely for him to survive. When Lloyd admitted he was unaware of the classification of his Elemental Powers, the Arc Dragon illustrated a point by creating and showing him a flying seed, asking if he could identify a flower from its seed shape or the lean of a tree. The guardian dragon pointed out that Lloyd's rapid growth had hindered the full development of his powers, causing the Green Ninja to despair over his inability to grasp the truth of his abilities, especially since his Elemental Power wasn't working. The dragon explained that this disconnection stemmed from some Source Dragons withdrawing their ties to the Merged Lands, including Life, whose absence causes the decay of the Whispering Wood to hasten. It learned that this was because Lloyd had his comrades summon the Arc Dragon of Focus without the Council of Sources' approval. Lamented, the Arc Dragon of Life concluded that performing the Ritual of Unrooting could restore equilibrium to the Elemental Powers and Source Energy, prompting Lloyd to commit to the ritual in hopes of rectifying the situation. The guardian told Lloyd that he must travel to the Temple of the Green Ninja to perform the Ritual of Unrooting. Although the temple was hidden, the Arc Dragon assured him that he would find it if it was meant to be. However, the protector cautioned Lloyd once more about the dangers of the ritual before the Green Ninja set off with Arin and Euphrasia.
Just Under the Surface[]
The Elemental Monsters invaded the tree house hideout, targeting the Arc Dragon of Life, who was suffering due to the decline of the Whispering Wood. The Acona sought help from Zane, Arin, and Euphrasia. Unfortunately, the three struggled to defeat the Elemental Monsters. However, Arin saw that his Object Spinjitzu could defeat the creatures. He instructed Euphrasia to throw him several rocks, which he unleashed as Spinjitzu-powered projectiles at the monsters, ultimately defeating them. This effort drained Arin's energy, causing him to faint and fall off a bridge, but the Arc Dragon of Life caught him before collapsing.
The Grand Inquisition[]
The Arc Dragon of Life was suprised to find the Whispering Wood in such a decaying condition, uncertain if it or the wood could endure much longer. It warned that the rest of the Merged Realms would soon collapse once the Whispering Wood fell. Zane showed genuine care for the Arc Dragon, which surprised the creature, as it recognized that the former’s emotions were authentic despite being a Nindroid. The Arc Dragon of Life thanked Zane for staying by its side until the very end. The Master of Ice claims it's not the end, advising the Arc Dragon of Life to trust in Lloyd, who has encountered numerous threats before and emerged more powerful. The dying Arc Dragon asserted that it was false hope, claiming that Lloyd was too entrenched in his roots to free himself and live. However, Zane, seeing one of the fallen Acona being reborn after its seed was sown by Arin and Euphrasia, asserted that the Whispering Wood and Lloyd could possess greater resilience than the Arc Dragon of Life thought.
Dying to Live[]
As the Elemental Monsters continued to attack the Arc Dragon of Life and the Whispering Wood decayed even more, the ninja and Euphrasia continued to defend it. During the fight, the dragon sensed that Lloyd is failing the Ritual of Unrooting and warned the others about, despite Arin’s refusal to believe it. As the Elemental Monsters approached the Arc Dragon of Life, the ninja and Euphrasia felt Lloyd's presence, thinking that the Arc Dragon could be right and Lloyd didn't survive.
The Heartbeat of all the Realms[]
As the Elemental Monsters pressed their attack, the Arc Dragon of Life sensed that its time was drawing near. Grateful to Zane, it hoped to reunite in the next cycle before succumbing to its fate. Yet, Zane was determined to continue the fight alongside Arin and Euphrasia. Lloyd, in his Draconus Form, arrived and defeated the Elemental Monsters. The Arc Dragon of Life remarked that the Draconus Form was something previous Green Ninja never received. Initially, the Arc Dragon had thought that Lloyd's life experiences would hinder him, but instead, they had enabled him to unlock this new form. It emphasized that with his connection to life, Lloyd must embrace his newfound strength rather than turn it down. Lloyd found this notion peculiar, to which the Arc Dragon replied that life was both strange and ordinary, expressing how much it would miss it once it passed. Despite Lloyd’s completion of the Ritual of Unrooting, the Whispering Wood and its inhabitants continued to wither under Beatrix's use of the Weapon of Desolation, which drained the essence of the wood.
Birthright[]
As it lay dying, the Arc Dragon of Life reached out to Lloyd, reminding him of his power to connect with others. This motivated Lloyd to have Nya, Kai, Jay, and Zane unlock their Draconus Forms as well. Lloyd managed to disarm Beatrix, allowing Arin to retrieve the Weapon of Desolation and deactivate it. As a result, the Whispering Wood's energy returned, revitalizing both the Arc Dragon of Life and Acona. Upon Lloyd's return to the Whispering Wood, the Arc Dragon of Life recognized that with the realms now merged, the Green Ninja's responsibilities had expanded to being the protector of all the Merged Lands rather than just the Whispering Wood, which Lloyd promised to live up to.

The Arc Dragon of Life appears to be highly committed to its duty as the guardian of the Whispering Wood and ensuring the Ritual of Unrooting is performed by an Elemental Master of Life every generation to sustain the Wood. Because the current Master of Life, Lloyd, never arrived to the Whispering Wood to perform the Ritual, it felt betrayed and acted rude and hostile towards him when he finally arrived after many years following the Merge. However, the Arc Dragon has also shown a soft and understanding side, as it apologized to the Green Ninja for its hostility towards him after learning that his artificial rapid aging due to Tomorrow’s Tea prevented him from hearing the call to the wood. The Life Arc Dragon can also be quite pessimistic, as while it warmed up to Lloyd, it was certain that he would not survive the ritual.

- Draco-Ergokinesis - Being an Arc Dragon, the Arc Dragon of Life is capable of manipulating its dragon energy.
- Vivokinesis - The Arc Dragon of Life possesses the Source energy of Life, which it can manipulate at will.
- Life Empowerment - The Arc Dragon of Life's strength is directly dependent on how much the Source Dragon of Life, its master, shares with it.[3]
- Life Link - The Arc Dragon of Life shares a life link with the Whispering Wood, meaning if it gets hurt or its condition worsens, the Wood will also experience the same.
- Omnidirectional Vivokinetic Waves - Through the medallion it wears, the Arc Dragon of Life can release omnidirectional waves of life.
- Mass Resurrection - The Arc Dragon of Life's omnidirectional waves can resurrect dead life in the Whispering Wood such as Acona and plants in mass.
- Vivokinesis - The Arc Dragon of Life possesses the Source energy of Life, which it can manipulate at will.
- Longevity - The Arc Dragon of Life has likely been alive for eons throughout its duty as the guardian of the Whispering Wood.
- Phutragenesis - The Arc Dragon of Life was able to release seeds from its wings while it was describing the Elemental Power of Life to Lloyd.
- Tree of Life Communication - The Arc Dragon can communicate with the Trees of Life in the Whispering Wood via their whispers
- Telepathy - As an Arc Dragon, the Arc Dragon of Life can communicate with other beings through telepathic powers.
- Enhanced Durability - The Arc Dragon of Life is incredibly durable, managing to survive multiple sustained attacks from Elemental Monsters without serious injuries even as it grew weaker from the deterioration of the Whispering Wood.
- Enhanced Senses - The Arc Dragon of Life was able to sense the departure of the Source Dragons of Life, Focus, and Strength, as well as Lloyd's presence in the Whispering Wood.
- Elemental Power connection - The Arc Dragon of Life shares a connection with the Elemental powers in the Merged Realms.[4]
- Elemental Power Detection - The Arc Dragon can sense the condition of Elemental Powers in the Merged Realms.
- Draco-Ergokinesis - Being an Arc Dragon, the Arc Dragon of Life is capable of manipulating its dragon energy.

- Mutual Dependency - The Arc Dragon of Life is tied to the vitality of the Whispering Wood. If the forest is neglected due to the failure to perform the Ritual of Unrooting, it begins to wither, which not only weakens the Arc Dragon but also affects other forest inhabitants, like the Acona, leading to their demise.[5]
