History[]

Background[]

The Arc Dragon of Life was among many Arc Dragons created to serve as the Source Dragons' avatars, being associated with the Source Dragon of Life, so they wouldn't have to manifest personally in their physical forms when they appear in the mortal world. At some point, it became the protector of the Whispering Wood.^[1] Throughout its time as the wood's protector, many Green Ninja would come to perform the Ritual of Unrooting upon receiving the call of the Whispering Wood which the Arc Dragon of Life guided them through.

At some point, it learned of the existence of Lloyd and felt betrayed by him for not responding to the call of the Whispering Wood, unaware that he never received it as a result of being aged up by Tomorrow's Tea.

When the Source Dragons of Strength, Focus, and Life left the Council of Sources, the Arc Dragon of Life sensed their departure.

Dragons Rising, Season 4[]

The Whispering Wood[]

After the Battle of the Spectral Lands, Ras sent Lloyd and Arin to the Whispering Wood, intending to steer the ninja away from his plans. As soon as Lloyd stepped into the Whispering Wood, the trees recognized his presence and began to whisper to the Arc Dragon of Life. The Arc Dragon quickly realized that Lloyd was the Green Ninja who had neglected his responsibilities as the Protector of the Whispering Wood.

After Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia rescued a group of Acona from two Elemental Monsters consisting of an Acid Monster and Earth Monster, the Acona led them to the tree house hideout where the Arc Dragon of Life was resting. Just as Lloyd was about to introduce himself, the Arc Dragon interrupted him, revealing that it was already aware of his identity. The Arc Dragon expressed disappointment, chastising Lloyd for being the first Green Ninja to abandon his duties, and conveyed a deep sense of betrayal felt by those from the Whispering Wood.

The Lean of a Tree[]

Lloyd was confused regarding his role as the Protector of the Whispering Wood. Skeptical, the Arc Dragon of Life inquired whether Lloyd was indeed a Green Ninja. When Lloyd affirmed this but admitted he had never heard of the Whispering Wood, the dragon accused him of dishonesty, convinced that Lloyd had felt the call of the wood but chose to ignore it. This accusation took Lloyd by surprise, especially when the Life Dragon revealed that he was not the only Green Ninja since the prophecy he had known had never mentioned others. The Arc Dragon explained that previous Green Ninja had performed the Ritual of Unrooting to nurture the Whispering Wood's life. As Lloyd believed that he had already achieved his True Potential, the Arc Dragon of Life challenged him, asking if he genuinely thought he had just one True Potential, or if that was the case for anyone else. Arin urged the guardian dragon to be more understanding, pointing out that Lloyd had already defended the forest by saving the Acona from Elemental Monsters. However, the Arc Dragon dismissed this as inadequate, stating that Lloyd's inaction had contributed to the weakening of the Whispering Wood. The guardian revealed that all past Green Ninja had discovered the Whispering Wood during their transition from childhood. It dawned on Lloyd that his absence was due to Tomorrow's Tea, which had accelerated his aging and caused him to miss the crucial age for fulfilling his duties. Realizing this, the Arc Dragon apologized but warned that the fate of the Whispering Wood and its inhabitants had already been sealed since that moment.

The Arc Dragon of Life elaborated on the significance of the Ritual of Unrooting to Lloyd, highlighting that the ritual aims to purify Source energies' pathways and sustain their connections between the realms. Although Lloyd was willing to undertake the ritual, the protector dragon was doubtful about it being possible, suggesting that the ninja's age made it unlikely for him to survive. When Lloyd admitted he was unaware of the classification of his Elemental Powers, the Arc Dragon illustrated a point by showing him a flying seed, asking if he could identify a flower from its seed shape or a tree from its silhouette before planting. The guardian dragon pointed out that Lloyd's rapid growth had hindered the full development of his powers, causing the Green Ninja to despair over his inability to grasp the truth of his abilities, especially since his Elemental Power wasn't working. The dragon explained that this disconnection stemmed from some Source Dragons withdrawing their ties to the Merged Realms, including Life, whose absence was causing the decay of the Whispering Wood to hasten. Lloyd realized it was the consequences of the ninja's actions in waking the Arc Dragon of Focus without the Council of Sources' approval. The Arc Dragon of Life concluded that performing the Ritual of Unrooting could restore equilibrium to the Elemental Powers and Source Energy, prompting Lloyd to commit to the ritual in hopes of rectifying the situation. The guardian told Lloyd that he must travel to the Temple of the Green Ninja to perform the Ritual of Unrooting. Although the temple was hidden, the Arc Dragon assured him that he would find it if it was destiny. After the dragon warned him about the dangers he would face on his journey, Lloyd set off with Arin and Euphrasia to seek out the temple.

• Draco-Ergokinesis - Being an Arc Dragon, the Arc Dragon of Life is capable of manipulating its dragon energy.
  • Vivokinesis - The Arc Dragon of Life possesses the Source energy of Life, which it can manipulate at will.
    • Life Empowerment - The Arc Dragon of Life's strength is directly dependent on how much the Source Dragon of Life, its master, shares with it.^[2]
• Life Link - The Arc Dragon of Life shares a life link with the Whispering Wood, meaning if it gets hurt or its condition worsens, the Wood will also experience the same.
• Seed Generation - The Arc Dragon of Life was able to release seeds from its wings while it was describing the Elemental Power of Life to Lloyd.
• Longevity - The Arc Dragon of Life has likely been alive for eons throughout its duty as the guardian of the Whispering Wood.
• Enhanced Senses - The Arc Dragon of Life was able to sense the departure of the Source Dragons of Life, Focus, and Strength, as well as Lloyd's presence in the Whispering Woods.
• Telepathy - As an Arc Dragon, the mortal avatar of Life can communicate with other beings through telepathic powers.

Weaknesses[]

• Mutual Dependency: The Arc Dragon of Life is tied to the vitality of the Whispering Wood. If the forest is neglected due to the failure to perform the Ritual of Unrooting, it begins to wither, which not only weakens the Arc Dragon but also affects other forest inhabitants, like the Acona, leading to their demise.^[3]
