Life is a form of dragon energy and one of the seven Sources, personified by the Source Dragon of Life. It is associated with the color green. The Whispering Wood serves as a sacred reservoir for Life energy.^[9]

Before revealing its Source, Glen Lakin suggested that Amber comes from either Life or Energy, with Life being a possibility since the dragon energy that created Amber came from a tree.^[10]
When revealing the Elemental Powers coming from the source of Life, Glen Lakin used these poetic descriptions:
- Nature - One with the leaves and the dirt, able to read the writing in bark or whisper through spores on the wind. Imbued with the power to command these forces to defend the natural world.^[5]
- Poison - A corruption that turns a body against itself, deadly yet beautiful in its effectiveness.^[6]
- Plants - The greenest of thumbs, curation and growth of vegetation on a grand scale beyond what is normally possible. Not a commander but a caretaker.^[7]
- Size - To live is to grow then whither. Living beings come in all sizes.^[8]
