Overview
The Crowns of Horns, also known as Dragon Crowns or Dragon Horns, are a set of crowns that Arc Dragons or Source Dragons use to represent their rank. Crafted from Dragon Ivory, they enable wearers to establish communication with the Nether-Space and transmit dragon energy to Elemental Masters. They are the connection of the Elemental Powers between the Arc Dragons and Source Dragons.[1]
History
History[]
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
The Merge: Part 2[]
The Matriarch of the Mountain Dragons channeled her dragon ebony into Lloyd, allowing him to perform a dragon-powered Spinjitzu attack and defeat the Claws of Imperium, thereby freeing the Matriarch Dragon.
Dragons Rising, Season 2[]
The Final Game (flashback)[]
After the Ninja stop the Blood Moon Ritual, Nokt and Rox, who was possessing Jordana at the time, came up with a plan to free the rest of the Forbidden Five. To accomplish this, they required enough Dragon Ivory and a multitude of Elemental Powers. To obtain the Dragon Ivory needed, they attacked the Matriarch of the Mountain Dragons and two other Arc Dragons and stole their crowns, killing the dragons in the process.
Prior to United We Fall[]
Nokt and Rox carved a stone from one of the dragon horns to allow them to communicate with the rest of the Forbidden Five[2] and subsequently hid the crowns on the ceiling of the Monastery of Gates.
The Final Game[]
Thanks to the spirit of Master Wu, Arin and Cole found the stolen crowns in the Monastery of Gates, hanging above on the ceiling.
Elements of Betrayal[]
Zane and Arin headed back to the Monastery where they found Cole struggling to use the Elemental Earth Mech remove the crowns from the ceiling. Moments later, they found Nya and Riyu trapped within one of the temple walls, with the former explaining to them the Dragon Ivory in the crowns allowed them to communicate with Kai and Bonzle who were trapped in the Nether-Space. Nokt and Rox arrived shortly, with Nokt using the powers he had obtained from the tournament to strike the crowns, opening a portal and freeing the rest of the Forbidden Five. With her connection to the Dragon Ivory found in the horns and Riyu, Nya also used the horns to bring Kai and Bonzle back from the Nether-Space.
The Screaming Earth[]
When Kai, Cole, and Frak unearth the Source Dragon of Balance's skeleton, its Crown of Horns remained atop it's head but vanished shortly alongside the skeleton.
