Trivia

Trivia[]

  • Although other regions provided physical releases for Ninjago up until the end of the series, region 1 (Canada and the USA) stopped receiving physical releases after Sons of Garmadon.
    • This means if someone was limited to watching Ninjago only from DVDs in region 1, they would have been left on an unresolved cliffhanger.
    • It is unknown if season nine and onwards will ever see physical releases in region 1.
  • The German releases are the only ones with Ninjago DVDs for every season of the show.
    • The German releases are also the only one to have produced physical releases of Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
  • Legacy of the Green Ninja is the only Ninjago season that has been released on Blu-Ray (having released on both DVD and Blu-Ray in region 1).
  • Some DVD covers do not match up with the season that they're meant to be representing:
    • The region 1 DVD cover for season two depicts the Ninja fighting with the serpentine over the fangblades, despite this occurring in the previous season.
    • The UK DVD cover for Season 4: Tournament of Elements depicts Lloyd in his ZX suit, despite him not wearing it during that season. Furthermore, its color was changed from green to black.
    • In various regions' covers for DVDs containing episodes from Season 5: Possession, Cole is wearing deepstone shoulder pads as a ghost.
      • Technically, this is still accurate to the episodes, as Cole is seen like this is some shots, although it is an unintended error.
    • Many DVD covers depict Kai with his scar, despite it not appearing in the show.
      • This is likely due to the renders of Kai being based on his physical minifigure rather than his design from the show.
    • In the UK DVD for the pilot episodes, the ninja are depicted in their ZX gi, despite not receiving them until season one.
  • The distributors for physical releases differ across countries/regions:
    • American/Canadian, British, and Japanese DVDs are distributed by Warner Bros.
    • German DVDs are distributed by LEONINE Kids
    • Australian/New Zealand DVDs are distributed by Universal
    • Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish DVDs are distributed by Nordisk Film
    • Polish DVDs are distributed by Galapagos Films
  • Some releases across different countries/regions have different ways of numbering seasons. See here for more information.
  • To celebrate the release of the "Season 4 Part 2" DVD in the UK, Warner Bros. UK held an event called Ninjago Week, where they gave away a new Ninjago related prize each day throughout the week.
  • The render of Lloyd used for the UK "Season 3 Part 2 - Rebooted: Fall of the Golden Master" DVD and "Rebooted: Fall of the Golden Master" DVD covers was also used on the box art for 71239 Gold Ninja Fun Pack.
  • Tommy Andreasen owns some of the German CD releases.[10]
